Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the TripSignal mobile application ("TripSignal", "the App") and the TripSignal pages on pointzeroai.com/tripsignal ("the Site"), each provided by Point Zero AI LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using TripSignal, you agree to these Terms.
TripSignal is an informational health-signal tool. It is not medical advice, not travel advice, and not a substitute for professional judgment. Always consult qualified medical professionals and review official public-health sources before making health or travel decisions.
1. What TripSignal is
TripSignal lets you build a personal watchlist of locations and diseases. The App aggregates and surfaces signals from third-party official public-health sources (for example, CDC, WHO, ECDC, and U.S. state and local health departments) and presents them on your device in a summarized form, with links back to source material.
2. Not medical advice. Not travel advice.
TripSignal is provided for general informational purposes only. The App does not:
- Diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any disease or medical condition;
- Provide medical, clinical, or pharmaceutical advice;
- Provide professional travel advice or recommend whether you should travel;
- Replace the judgment of qualified medical, public-health, or travel professionals.
You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on information you see in TripSignal. If you have a medical concern, contact a qualified healthcare provider. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
3. No guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness
TripSignal organizes information from third-party sources that are themselves subject to update lag, revision, and error. We do not guarantee that any signal, label, or source link will be accurate, complete, current, or available at any given time. You remain responsible for verifying any information that affects a real-world decision by consulting the relevant official source directly.
4. Permitted use
You agree to use TripSignal only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes, and in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract underlying data or source code;
- Scrape, automate, or programmatically harvest data from the App or Site beyond ordinary personal use;
- Use TripSignal in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service or interfere with another user's enjoyment of it;
- Use TripSignal to make commercial public-health, insurance, employment, or admissions decisions;
- Misrepresent the source or accuracy of information displayed by TripSignal.
5. Intellectual property
The App, the Site, the TripSignal name and marks, and all design, code, and original content are owned by Point Zero AI LLC or its licensors. Source material referenced inside the App remains the property of the originating public-health organizations and is presented under the open-data or public-information practices of those sources. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your own informational purposes.
6. Free trial and optional lifetime unlock
TripSignal may offer a 7-day full-access trial. After the trial, continued access to premium features may require a one-time lifetime unlock purchase, currently planned at $7.99 USD in the United States. Final pricing may vary by country, currency, tax, and App Store territory.
Premium features may include saved home-area watches, loved-one location watches, multi-city trip monitoring, disease watches, live source search, world signal map access, alerts, and daily brief features.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple manages payment, purchase confirmation, refunds, family sharing availability, and purchase restoration. You can restore an existing purchase inside TripSignal Settings.
The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase for the TripSignal app on the Apple ID used to buy it. It is not an auto-renewing subscription.
7. Third-party sources and links
TripSignal links to third-party public-health sources and may open those sources in your default browser or an in-app browser view. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party sources. Your use of any third-party source is governed by that source's own terms and privacy practices.
8. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App may send signal-related alerts to your device. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. Notification timing depends on third-party source updates and on your device and network conditions, and may be delayed or missed; you should not rely on TripSignal notifications as the sole means of being informed about a public-health event.
9. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIPSIGNAL, THE APP, AND THE SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE APP OR SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL POINT ZERO AI LLC OR ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP OR SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN INFORMED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGE.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Point Zero AI LLC from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of TripSignal in violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Apple App Store additional terms
The following applies to use of TripSignal obtained from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Point Zero AI LLC, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer-protection claims.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance of these Terms, have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, by additional notice in the App or on the Site. Your continued use of TripSignal after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Termination
You can stop using TripSignal at any time by deleting the App from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App or Site if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or TripSignal will be the state or federal courts located in Arizona, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
