Frequently asked
What does TripSignal do? +
TripSignal lets you build a personal watchlist of places and diseases. The App pulls signals from official public-health sources (CDC, WHO, ECDC, state and local health departments, and travel advisories) and shows you a clean summary of what's happening — and what changed since the last time you checked.
Think of it as a personal "weather report" for the health signals around your home, your loved ones, your trips, and the diseases that matter most to you.
Is TripSignal medical advice? +
No. TripSignal organizes official health signals and source links. It does not diagnose, treat, provide emergency guidance, or decide whether you should travel. Always review official sources and consult qualified professionals. For full detail, see our Terms of Use.
Where does the data come from? +
From official public-health sources, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), U.S. state and local health departments, and government travel advisories.
TripSignal does not invent signals. We organize what those sources publish and link back to them so you can read the underlying detail.
Why don't I see a signal for my location? +
A few possible reasons:
- No active public-health signal has been published for that area — this is usually good news.
- The location is very small and is reported only at the county or regional level. Try widening to the nearest larger area.
- The source agency for that region updates on a slow cadence (some agencies publish weekly).
- You don't have internet connectivity. TripSignal needs a connection to refresh signals.
If you believe a signal is missing that should be there, email support@pointzeroai.com and tell us the location.
How do I add a home area? +
- Open TripSignal and tap Watchlist.
- Tap Add a watch → Home area.
- Enter your city, county, or ZIP code.
- Confirm the suggested area. That's it — your home now shows on your daily brief.
How do I add a trip? +
- Open Watchlist → Add a watch → Trip.
- Add each city or country you'll visit. Multi-stop trips are supported.
- Set your travel dates so TripSignal knows when to start and stop watching.
- Optional: turn on notifications for the trip if you want to be alerted when something changes.
How do I follow a disease? +
- Open Watchlist → Add a watch → Disease.
- Pick from the list (COVID, flu, measles, dengue, mpox, pneumonia, and others).
- Optional: tie the disease watch to one of your saved locations so you only get signals where it matters to you.
How do I manage notifications? +
Notifications are off by default. To manage them:
- Open Settings → Notifications inside TripSignal.
- Turn notifications on or off for each watch individually, or set a quiet-hours window.
- You can also revoke notification permission entirely in your device's iOS Settings under Settings → Notifications → TripSignal.
How do I delete my data? +
Your watchlist lives on your device, so:
- Remove individual watches from inside the App at any time.
- Delete the App from your device to remove all local TripSignal data.
- If you joined the launch waitlist on the website, email support@pointzeroai.com with subject "Remove from TripSignal waitlist" and we'll delete your email from our launch list.
Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Does TripSignal cost money? +
TripSignal may offer a 7-day full-access trial. After the trial, continued access to premium features may require a one-time lifetime unlock purchase, currently planned at $7.99 USD in the United States. Final pricing may vary by country, currency, tax, and App Store territory.
It is not an auto-renewing subscription. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase tied to the Apple ID you used at checkout.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device? +
If you've already paid for the lifetime unlock and you reinstall TripSignal or use it on another device signed in to the same Apple ID:
- Open TripSignal and go to Settings → Restore Purchase.
- Sign in with the Apple ID you used at purchase, if prompted.
- Your lifetime unlock should restore within a few seconds.
If the unlock doesn't restore, email support@pointzeroai.com with your purchase date and we'll help.
Which devices does TripSignal run on? +
TripSignal is launching on iPhone (iOS). iPad and other platforms may follow based on early demand. If you'd like to be notified when TripSignal expands to a new platform, email support@pointzeroai.com.
TripSignal is informational only. It is not medical advice and does not decide whether you should travel. Always review official health sources and consult qualified medical professionals for health decisions.
