The Story
Same deliverable. 400 times cheaper.
Done while theirs is still in meetings.
A company I have a relationship with recently began rebuilding their website. Professional agency. Multiple stakeholders. Kickoff meetings. Revision rounds. Months in — still not live. Estimated cost: $40,000.
While that was happening, I built a brand-new website from scratch. It was designed, built, and live in under 24 hours. Cost: $100 for the month.
I'm Tom Zgainer. I'm 66 years old. I spent 30 years in the retirement business, saved American workers over a billion dollars in hidden 401(k) fees, built a company, and sold it to Creative Planning — one of the country's largest wealth management firms. Tony Robbins featured my work in both his bestselling books. I've been on CNBC, Fox Business, and Bloomberg.
I've been in business long enough to recognize when something fundamentally changes the rules. This changes the rules.
What follows isn't a list of tools assembled by someone who Googled them. Every example in these pages happened in my first 60 days building Point Zero AI. I did it myself. I know what it cost. I know what it would have cost before AI.
The experienced business owners, the accomplished professionals, the people who built real careers over real decades — they're being left behind. Not because they can't learn this. Because nobody is teaching it in a way that respects their intelligence and their time.
The Numbers
Here is exactly what I built in my first 60 days — and what it would have cost to do it the traditional way.
| What I Did | AI Tool | AI Cost | Old Way |
|---|---|---|---|
| Complete website — live in 24 hours | Lovable | $100/mo | ~$40,000 + 4 months |
| Full website copywriting — every word | Claude | Included | $5,000+ copywriter |

| 400 personalized client videos — filmed, edited, sent | Dubb | $59/mo | Days of manual outreach |
| 8-minute produced film | Manus | ~$50 | $15,000–$30,000 production |

See a live example → | Claude + Claude Code + Railway | ~$20/mo | Web agency · $10,000–$25,000 + 3–6 months |
| 401(k) fee analysis tool — 71 million Americans submit their fee disclosure and receive a personalized preliminary fee report. Identifies hidden fees, calculates long-term cost drag, recommends next steps. This tool does not exist anywhere else. | Claude + Codex | ~$0 | Compliance attorneys + financial software dev team + regulatory review · $300,000–$500,000+ |
That's not a rounding error. That's not even in the same universe. That's the new math of modern business.
The Build
The $100 one is live.
I had a front-row seat to two website projects happening simultaneously. The first: a corporate rebuild. Professional agency. Multiple stakeholders. Kickoff meetings. Revision rounds. Months in — still not live. Price tag: nearly $40,000.
The second: my own new site, pointzeroai.com. I used a tool called Lovable — an AI web builder — for the very first time. Never touched it before. The site was designed, built, and live in under 24 hours. Cost: $100 a month.
The copy? Every word written with Claude. I gave it my background, my audience, my mission. It drafted the whole thing. What a copywriter would have charged $5,000 for minimum was done in an afternoon.
"I'm not telling you to fire your web team.
I'm telling you to understand what's now possible."
The Reach
$59 a month.
I had a subset of 400 clients in my retirement business I needed to contact. Reaching all of them personally — real message, real face, real conversation — used to mean days of calls and emails, or a mass blast that nobody reads.
Instead I used Dubb. In under two hours, I filmed, edited, and sent personalized video messages to all 400 of them. They opened their email and saw my face — not a template. Me, talking directly to them.
Then I used Tella — $39 a month — to record instruction videos where I'm presenting data on one side of the screen while they can see me on the other. Walking clients through 401(k) fee disclosures, visually, personally. What used to require an in-person meeting or a production crew now takes an afternoon.
The Film
At 66. In days. With no production team.
I've spent years trying to explain what hidden 401(k) fees do to working families. I've written about it. I've been on national television talking about it. Tony Robbins put it in both his bestselling books.
Last month, I made a movie about it. Not a slideshow. Not a talking-head clip. A produced, eight-minute film — the kind of content that used to require a production budget, a crew, an editor, and weeks of post-production.
I used a tool called Manus. I gave it my script, my concept, my direction. It produced the film.
I'm 66 years old. No film background. No production team. No tech department. Just AI — and the willingness to try.
If that's possible — what do you think you could build?

Don't try to do all of this at once. Here's exactly what I'd do if I were starting where you are:
"I'm a [your profession]. I need help with [the task]. Here's the background: [give it context]."
One task. One tool. That's how it starts. The rest follows naturally.
